Palm Harbor Man Seriously Injured in U.S. 19 Crash
He turned into the path of oncoming traffic.
PINELLAS COUNTY – A Palm Harbor man was seriously injured Saturday (Nov. 21) in a crash caused when he turned in front of oncoming traffic on U.S. 19 N.
The crash happened about 11:26 a.m. on southbound U.S. 19 N just north of Curlew Road in Pinellas County.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers said the 83-year-old Palm Harbor man was northbound on U.S. 19 when he turned west into Harbor Freight Tools. The turn took him into the path of a southbound pickup truck driven by a 28-year-old man from Oldsmar.
The two vehicles collided, seriously injuring the Palm Harbor man and inflicting minor injuries on the Oldsmar man.
