PINELLAS COUNTY – A Holiday man died and a Holiday woman was seriously injured Saturday (Aug. 1) in a crash on Anclote Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The man, a 76-year-old Holiday resident, died at the scene. The other driver, a 20-year-old Holiday woman, was seriously injured. Neither one was wearing a seat belt, FHP troopers said.

The crash happened about 10:55 a.m. at the intersection of Anclote Boulevard and Blue Marlin Boulevard in PInellas County.

Troopers said the man was driving a sedan south on Blue Marlin Boulevard. He either failed to stop, or failed to remain stopped, at the posted sign and turned right from Blue Marlin onto Anclote into the path of the sedan the woman was driving. The two cars collided.
