Motorcyclist Dies in I-275 Crash

A car hit him while trying to change lanes, FHP troopers say.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A 32-yer-old Wauchula man died this morning (Nov. 15) when his motorcycle was hit by a car that was changing lanes.

The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene. The other driver, a 23-year-old St. Petersburg man, was not injured, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happenedabout 12:25 a.m. on southbound I-275 near Mile Marker 39 just north of Memorial Highway in Hillsborough County.Troopers said the motorcyclist was traveling south in the center lane when a car tried to change lanes and hit the left side of the bike. Both vehicles then hit the guardrail on the shoulder of the road.
