Hernando Crash Fatal for Homosassa Man

He failed to negotiate a curve in the road, FHP troopers say.

HERNANDO COUNTY – A Homosassa man died this morning (Nov. 14) in a one-car crash on Citrus Way, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The driver, a 62-year-old man, died at the scene.

The crash happened about 12:35 a.m. on Citrus Way in Hernando County.

Troopers said he was driving a sedan south on Citrus Way approaching Parsons Road when he failed to negotiate a left curve in the road. He lost control of the sedan, which left the roadway onto the west grass shoulder where it hit a boulder, spun, then hit a utility pole.
