Driver Loses Control, Crashes into New Port Richey Home

The driver and his passenger suffered minor injuries, FHP troopers say.

NEW PORT RICHEY – A car crashed into a New Port Richey home this morning (May 12) after the driver lost control, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Both the driver, a 20-year-old woman from Holiday, and her passenger, a 21-yearold Tarpon Springs man, both suffered minor injuries. Neither was wearing a seat belt. It is unclear if either was taken to a hospital.

The driver was cited for careless driving.

The crash happened about 1:11 a.m. at a home on Moog Road in New Port Richey.

Troopers said the woman lost control of her car, which left the road and hit several parked vehicles before crashing into the house.
