Clearwater to Temporarily Close Section of Osceola Avenue
The closure is for utility installation in connection with improvements to the Seminole Street boat ramp and North Marina.
CLEARWATER – Construction continues on the Seminole Street boat ramp and North Marina improvements project.
On Friday (June 14), the city of Clearwater’s project team will close Osceola Avenue from the corner to Seminole Street for utility installation.
When possible, visitors to the Seminole Street boat ramp should plan arrivals during daylight hours. The lights at the boat ramp are currently inoperable.
People who watch the city’s Clearwater Celebrates America fireworks display on July 4 from the boat ramp area are encouraged to find another place to watch the fireworks this year because of the lack of lighting and ongoing construction.
Boaters should continue to expect construction delays and limited parking availability at the Seminole Street boat ramp. Construction began March 26 and is anticipated to be complete in January.
Residents with questions can call the city of Clearwater’s Engineering Department at (727) 562-4762.
