Clearwater Beach Will Reopen Monday

CLEARWATER – The Pinellas County Commission voted Tuesday (April 28) to reopen public beaches, public beach parking areas, hotel/motel/condo pools and childcare playgrounds in the coming days.
Clearwater Beach will reopen as well and there will be no additional restrictions.
The county voted to open public beaches and public beach parking areas at 7 a.m. Monday (May 4), with the required CDC social distancing guidelines. That includes staying 6 feet apart from other parties, no group gatherings and no groups larger than 10. CDC guidelines for social distancing on Clearwater Beach will be enforced by the Clearwater Police Department.
Pier 60 playground will remain closed as well as the pier. The restrooms will be open and will be regularly cleaned. Clearwater Beach lifeguards will be on duty their regular hours which are 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. this time of year.
