Coast Guard Rescues Two Divers

The Coast Guard boat crew sent over a crew member to navigate the dive vessel with a third diver aboard back to Gulfport.

ST. PETERSBURG – The Coast Guard on Saturday (Nov. 2)  rescued two divers from the water 25 miles west of Egmont Key.

A Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew hoisted one male diver and took him to emergency medical services for treatment.

A Coast Guard Station St. Petersburg 45-foot Motor Lifeboat—Medium boatcrew recovered one female diver who was also transported to awaiting EMS. Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg command center watchstanders were initially notified by the third diver who managed to swim back to the anchored dive vessel.

The Coast Guard boat crew sent over a crew member to navigate the dive vessel with the third diver aboard back to Treasure Island Boat Club in Gulfport.
