TAMPA – The fire marshal is investigating a blaze that broke out Saturday (May 16) on the campus of Blake High School, according to Tampa Fire Rescue.

There were no injuries.

Tampa firefighters were called to the scene about 8:45 p.m. when a 911 caller reported seeing flames coming from a structure on the east side of the campus, 1701 North Blvd.

When crews arrived they found a 10-foot by  20-foot maintenance shed fully involved. Crews laid more than 500 feet of line to reach the shed, which is near the football field away from the main area of the school. There was no threat to the main building of the school.

Firefighters were able to put out the blaze and the fire was under control by 9:20 p.m.
