Barnhorn Chosen to Serve on National Council for Small Cities

He will play a key role in identifying common trends across municipalities and developing policy options and responses for cities, towns and villages.

SEMINOLE – Seminole Council Member Thom Barnhorn was chosen to service on the Small Cities Council of the National League of Cities.

NLC member councils provide space for local leaders to connect with other municipal officials representing similar communities and facing common challenges.

“It is an honor to represent Seminole and our residents on the national level, working, discussing and comparing information, ideas, problems and solutions with cities of similar size,” Barnhorn said.

As a member of the Small Cities Council, Barnhorn  will play a key role in identifying common trends across municipalities and developing policy options and responses for cities, towns and villages.

The leadership of this year’s Small Cities Council includes Chair Scott Maxwell, vice mayor pro tem of Lake Worth Beach; Vice Chair Lew Watson, mayor of Lincoln, AL; and Vice Chair Joyce Downing, council member from  Northglenn, CO.
