SPCA Appoints Vet Hospital Manager
She joins SPCA Tampa Bay Veterinary Center with more ten years of experience in veterinary management.
ST. PETERSBURG – The SPCA Tampa Bay has named Vanessa Sanchez as hospital manager for its veterinary team at its Veterinary Center in St. Petersburg.
She will manage daily veterinary center operations, supervise veterinary programs and promote internal marketing programs.
Sanchez joins SPCA Tampa Bay Veterinary Center with more than 10 years of experience in veterinary management.
Previously, Sanchez was the Brandon practice manager at BluePearl Veterinary Partners, a national network of specialty and emergency pet hospitals. In that role, she supervised all aspects of administration and client service for the 24-hour emergency hospital.
“Vanessa has experience guiding veterinary teams in creating and maintaining an environment where pets – and the people who love them – feel comfortable in receiving care,” said Martha Boden, CEO of SPCA Tampa Bay. “We look forward to seeing how she uses her skills and experience to provide even better service our community.”
She also gained management experience as the supervisor of emergency services at BluePearl Veterinary Partners, a 20-person emergency hospital in Tampa. She previously worked in veterinary ophthalmology at BluePearl Veterinary Partners.
Sanchez started in the veterinary industry by working as a veterinary technician specializing in internal medicine and intensive care for Miami Veterinary Specialists.
SPCA Tampa Bay Veterinary Center provides comprehensive pet care through a full-service veterinary hospital and spay/neuter clinic at 3250 5th Ave. N in St. Petersburg. Revenue from the Veterinary Center helps “paw it forward” by supporting the nonprofit programs and services at SPCA Tampa Bay’s Largo animal shelter, as well as helps families unable to afford their medical bills through the Caldwell Keeping Families Together Fund.
