It is scheduled to remain closed until September while renovations are made.

CLEARWATER – The dog park at Crest Lake Park is scheduled to close later this month as part of a larger renovation of the park itself.

The $5.7 million makeover of Crest Lake Park is moving ahead on schedule. This past April, public access to the park was closed to allow contractors to begin construction.

During this time, the dog park has remained open. With construction moving forward, renovations to the dog park are ready to be made. This will require the dog park to close Monday (May 25) at dusk.

Some of the renovations to the dog park will include new landscaping, renovation of amenities and new turf. New water bowls will be installed and mounted on decks with improved drainage to eliminate standing water. Two new dog washing stations will also be added.

Renovations to the dog park are expected to last through September. Completion of the entire Crest Lake project is expected by the end of this year.
