Wisconsin Woman Chosen to Head Hernando Human Resources Department
She has more than 15 years of experience in both public and private sector environments.
HERNANDO COUNTY – The Hernando County government has selected Michelle Posewitz as its human resources director.
Posewitz, a soon-to-be Hernando County resident, has a bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin – Whitewater and a master’s degree from Western Governor’s University. She is also a senior certified professional through both SHRM and IPMA-HR.
Posewitz has spent the past 19 years working for Sauk County government in Baraboo, WI, as its human resources director. She has more than 15 years of experience in both public and private sector environments. Posewitz is adept at developing and implementing new programs, succession planning, creative problem solving and many other skills.
“I look forward to working with staff and am excited for the opportunity to serve the Hernando County community,” Posewitz said. “I will always be thankful for my time in Sauk County but am eager to begin this new journey here in Hernando.”
Posewitz’s primary areas of responsibility will be:
“I am confident that Michelle’s experience and skill set will bring new opportunities and growth to our already excellent HR Department,” County Administrator Jeff Rogers said. “I look forward to working with her to continue to make Hernando County a great place to live, work and play.”
Posewitz’s first official day was June 8, 2020. Her salary is set at $112,008.
