Remembrance Ceremony Set for Patricia ‘Patti’ Johnson
Patricia “Patti” Johnson was a Pinellas Park council member. She passed away in February.
PINELLAS PARK – A remembrance gathering to honor the life of Patricia “Patti” Johnson will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday (March 11) at the Pinellas Park Performing Arts Center.
Mrs. Johnson, passed away at the family farm in Pinellas Park on Feb. 26 with her family by her side.(Click here for related story.) She had a long history as a community servant, resident, business owner and advocate for the elderly and handicapped.
Mrs. Johnson was first elected to the Pinellas Park City Council in 2012. She was reelected in 2014 and 2018. Before her election to the council, Mrs. Johnson served on the city’s Board of Adjustment for five years, with one year as chair, and for six years on the Code Enforcement Board. She served on the Pinellas Suncoast Transit board of directors for more than seven years.
At the time of her passing, she was serving on the Florida League of Cities Financial & Taxation Legislative Committee and the board of trustees of the Florida Municipal Insurance Trust. She was chair for the Transportation Disadvantaged Committee of the Metropolitan Planning Organization and was on the board of the Greater Pinellas Country Fair. She also served on the board of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast and the Pinellas Park Boys & Girls Club Unit Advisory Council.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Del; daughter, Patti Gail Fiedler & her husband, Bill; her granddaughter, Amber; her horses, Zeus and Diesel, and her Yorkshire Terrier, Punkin. She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Janie Fleischmann, and her Chihuahua, Angel, which she rescued from a puppy mill.
