Tarpon Springs Man Charged with DUI After Driving on Pedestrian Path
He narrowly missed multiple pedestrians and bicyclists while driving on the path, Clearwater police say.
CLEARWATER – Officers arrested a Tarpon Springs man Saturday (May 9) after he drove on a recreational path next to Memorial Causeway, according to the Clearwater Police Department.
Tyler Horvath Keenan, 28, of Tarpon Springs, was charged with one count each of Reckless Driving, Resisting an Officer without Violence, Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to Testing.
Police said the incident began about 3 p.m. when r 3 this afternoon when Keenan drove his car on the recreational path that runs alongside Memorial Causeway.
He narrowly missed multiple pedestrians and bicyclists while driving on the path. Officers said he ran from his car after it came to a stop and was caught by officers in the city marina.
