New Port Richey Woman Accused of Drunken Driving in Fatal Crash
The deceased man was thrown from his motorcycle during the crash, FHP troopers say.
PASCO COUNTY – Florida Highway Patrol troopers arrested a New Port Richey woman after a crash on U.S. 19 that killed a motorcyclist.
Ashlee Jordan Grisanti, 24, of New Port Richey, was charged with one count of DUI Manslaughter in connection with the death of the 38-year-old Spring Hill man. The deceased man, who was wearing a helmet, died at a hospital of injuries he suffered in the crash.
Grisanti and her two passengers suffered minor injuries in the crash.
The crash happened about 9:36 p.m. Friday (Nov. 27) on U.S. 19 N at the intersection of Viva Via Drive in Pasco County.
Troopers said Grisanti was driving a sedan north in the left turn lane of U.S. 19. When she reached the intersection, she turned into the path of the motorcycle. The two vehicles collided and the motorcyclist was thrown from his bike.
