He turned himself in, Hernando deputies say.

RIDGE MANOR – Deputies have charged a man in connection with a shooting in Ridge Manor that left a woman injured, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office said.

The woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Jachob “Jake” Dean Bradley, 19, was charged with one count each of Shoot/Throw Deadly Missile Into Vehicle, Discharge Firearm in Public Place/Right of Way within 1000 Feet of a Person, Aggravated Battery w/Deadly Weapon, and Aggravated Assault w/Intent to Commit Felony. Deputies said Bradley has an extensive criminal history.

Deputies said Bradley turned himself in on the advice of his mother.

Hernando County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the area of Treiman Boulevard (U.S, 301) and Reynolds Street in Ridge Manor about 7 p.m. June 18 for reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, deputies said they learned that a woman was driving south on Treiman Boulevard in her vehicle along with a male passenger. She saw a black Nissan sedan traveling north. Both she and her passenger said they believed they recognized the vehicle as one belonging to a man with whom they had had issues with, in Pasco County over the preceding week.

The woman told deputies that she saw the Nissan begin swerving, so she pulled her vehicle off to the side of the roadway, in fear that she would be struck head-on.

As the woman pulled her vehicle to the side of the road, the driver of the Nissan fired several shots at the her vehicle. The woman and her passenger identified the driver of the Nissan as Bradley, the same
person they had been having issues with. The woman and passenger said three others were in the Nissan.

The woman’s vehicle was struck three times on the driver’s side. One of the rounds went through the driver’s door, striking the woman in the thigh.
