Hudson Neighborhood Dispute Ends in Shooting Death

The dead man made threats and battered a women, Pasco deputies said.

HUDSON – An ongoing dispute between neighbors escalated into a fatal shooting Tuesday (June 11) night when one came onto the other’s property and started making threats, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said.

The name of the dead man is being withheld until his next of kin are notified.

Deputies said they were called to the 12000 block of Victory Drive in Hudson about 8:17 p.m.

Deputies said the ongoing neighbor dispute escalated when one neighbor entered another neighbor’s property and threatened the resident, 66-year-old Tim Fryling. The threats progressed until the unnamed neighbor physically battered a woman who lived at the address. He also threatened Fryling.

Fryling retreated inside his home to retrieve a firearm. Deputies said he came back outside and warned the neighbor multiple times to leave the property. After multiple verbal attempts to get the man to leave the property, Fryling shot him.

The wounded man was taken to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
