Deputies Charge Clearwater Man with Possessing Child Pornography
He is facing 22 charges, Pinellas deputies say.
CLEARWATER – A Clearwater man was arrested and accused of possessing child pornography, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
Jeffrey Ryan O’Kelley, 34, of Clearwater, has been charged with 22 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Deputies said their investigation began Aug. 13 after they received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified O’kelley as the suspect and found two images depicting child pornography on O’Kelley‘s online account.
O‘Kelley was arrested March 10. Deputies said he admitted to them that he owned and was responsible for the online accounts. He was charged with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Detectives seized several electronic devices from O’Kelley’s residence during that arrest and got a warrant for a forensic search of O’Kelley’s devices. They said the investigation discovered additional images of child pornography.
Detectives arrested O’Kelley, who was out on bond for his March child pornography arrest, on Thursday (July 16) and charged him with 20 additional counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
