Clearwater Area Woman Accused of Possessing Child Pornography
She admitted downloading and viewing child pornography, Pinellas deputies say.
CLEARWATER – A woman from the unincorporated Clearwater area has been accused of downloading multiple images of child pornography, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said.
Courtney Elizabeth Rummery, 31, was charged with 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Deputies said that, during an interview, Rummery admitted downloading and viewing the material.
Deputies began their investigation Aug. 6 after receiving information from Largo Police Department about an electronic child pornography investigation.
Detectives said they identified Rummery as the suspect.
Detectives said they got a search warrant for her home in the unincorporated Clearwater area and found a laptop inside the residence that contained multiple images of child pornography.
