Brandon Man Accused in Riverview Murder, Shooting
A woman died and a man was injured during the shooting, Hillsborough deputies say.
RIVERVIEW – A Brandon man has been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting in Riverview on Monday (July 27) that killed one woman and critically injured a man, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.
Jordan Jaime Silver, 20, of Brandon, is facing felony charges of First Degree Attempted Murder Premeditated with a Firearm and Second Degree Murder with a Firearm.
Deputies said the shooting took place about 4 a.m. in the 13000 of Clement Pride Boulevard in Riverview. This is in the Southfork Lakes community.
A woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A man was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Detectives said they do not believe the shooting was random, as those involved were all known to each other.
After multiple interviews, detectives learned that Silver intentionally shot and killed an adult female victim with a handgun on the 13000 block of Clement Pride Boulevard in Riverview while filming a music video with several others early Monday morning. Silver’s actions were unprovoked, according to witnesses
“Senseless acts of violence will not be tolerated in Hillsborough County,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “I commend our detectives for the thorough investigation that helped us locate the person responsible for this double shooting in less than 24 hours. As we continue working to learn what led up to this tragedy, we will make sure that the person responsible faces the consequences for his actions.”
