St. Pete Police Enact Curfew

Once winds reach 40-plus mph, police and fire will no longer be able to answer calls for help.

ST. PETERSBURG – The city of St. Petersburg is enacting an emergency curfew at 5 p.m. because of severe weather conditions.

The curfew will remain in effect throughout the duration of the storm, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.

All residents need to be off the roads and taking shelter, police said. Once winds reach 40-plus mph, police and fire will no longer be able to respond to citizen calls. They will resume responding once conditions are safe.
