Local Travel Writer to Speak at Seminole Historical Museum
Cathy Salustri, who writes about Florida, will discuss her new book.
SEMINOLE – Cathy Salustri will be the featured speaker at this month’s meeting of the Seminole Historical Society.
Salustri, a travel writer who focuses on Florida, will discuss her book, Backroads of Paradise, a recently published travel narrative about her journeys along Florida’s backroads. She will do a booksigning after the event.
Salustri, the arts and entertainment editor at Creative Loafing, is based in Gulfport. Her travels take her across Florida from top to bottom. Her travels take her on foot, bike, boat, or car to places the Interstate bypassed long ago, as well as those spots where natural beauty has survived the onslaught of overpopulation.
The Seminole Historical Society meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday (April 24) at the Seminole Historical Museum in Seminole City Park, 7464 Ridge Road.
