The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority is offering free rides today (April 2) to folks headed to the season opener of the Tampa Bay Rays.

ST. PETERSBURG –  A Rays Opening Day ticket will now get you two seats for the price of one.

With a sold out stadium and limited parking near Tropicana Field, the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority is offering free rides all day on the Central Avenue Trolley for game day ticket holders.

“PSTA is a proud supporter of the Rays, and we are thrilled to be able to provide free rides to all of our fans here in St. Petersburg,” PSTA CEO Brad Miller said. “If you’ve got a seat at the stadium, you’ve got a free seat on our trolley.”

To ride the Central Avenue Trolley, ticket holders can park anywhere along the route and hop aboard. Riders will be asked to show their game day ticket to the driver upon boarding.The CAT runs every 30 minutes along Central Avenue in St. Petersburg. The PSTA encourages riders who use the trolley to get to the game to share their trip on social media by using the hashtag #Trolley2Trop and tagging @RidePSTA.

This promotion is only good for today’s (April 2) Opening Day game.
