Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today.

PINELLAS COUNTY – Pinellas County residents now have a free way to get to the polls this election day.

The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority is offering free rides from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. today (Aug. 28) to customers with a valid voter information card to help encourage all residents to get out and vote.

“Voting is a fundamental human right and not having a ride to the polls is an obstacle that no resident should have to face,” PSTA CEO Brad Miller said. “At PSTA, we are proud to be a community partner and to be able to help make sure that every citizen has access to that civic right and civic duty.”

To qualify for the free ride, customers must show their valid Pinellas voter information card to the Bus Operator upon boarding. For help with trip planning, riders can go to psta.net or call the InfoLine at (727) 540-1900.

“We appreciate PSTA offering to provide free transportation for voters to and from the polls on Election Day,” said Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Deborah Clark. “Voters are reminded to verify their polling place at VotePinellsa.com before leaving home tomorrow and bring photo and signature ID.”

This promotion is valid on all PSTA routes excluding 100X and 300X from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.today.
