A community open house will provide updates and information about proposed improvements to the I-275 Corridor, Gateway Expressway, Howard Frankland Bridge as well as information about local and regional transportation priorities, transit, proposed future intermodal centers and other transportation topics.

ST. PETERSBURG – Find out about the future of transportation and traffic in Pinellas County and Tampa Bay at a community open house Monday (Oct. 22).

The Florida Department of Transportation and Forward Pinellas are sponsoring the open house at the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital Education and Conference Center, 701 Fourth St. S, St. Petersburg. The event is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a presentation planned at 6 p.m. It is free and open to the public. If you are unable to attend but would like to submit comments, please send comments to TampaBayNext@dot.state.fl.us.

At this meeting the FDOT and Forward Pinellas officials will provide updates and information about proposed improvements to the I-275 Corridor, Gateway Expressway, Howard Frankland Bridge as well as information about local and regional transportation priorities, transit, proposed future intermodal centers and other transportation topics. In addition, officials will discuss a current study that includes extending express lanes into St. Petersburg.

The format is designed to encourage open dialogue, questions and sharing of ideas.
