Zephyrhills Woman Dies in Pasco Crash

Two others were seriously injured.

PASCO COUNTY – A Zephyrhills woman died Tuesday (Jan. 24) in a traffic crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Deanna M. Bahler, 52, of Zephyrhills, died at the scene. Two passengers in her car, Alan G. Schemitsch, 24, of Lutz, and Giselle K. Oquendo, 21, of Tampa, received serious injuries. Both were taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa.

The crash happened about 4:21 p.m. at U.S. 41 and Horton Road. Troopers said Ms. Bahler was driving a 2003 Honda Accord west on Horton. They said she drove into the intersection with U.S. 41 into the path of a 2009 Peterbilt truck driven by James W. Moore, 34, of Spring Hill.
