Zephyrhills Teen Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash

He lost control of his pickup truck, FHP troopers said.

PASCO COUNTY – A Zephyrhills teenager died Mondy (April 8) when his pickup truck crashed after he lost control, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Kodie Tyler Jauss, 18, of Zephyrhills, died at the scene. FHP troopers said he was not wearing a seat belt.

The crash happened about 1:12 p.m. on Curley Street approaching the Curley Road intersection in Pasco County.

Troopers said Mr. Jauss was driving south on Curley Street when he lost control of the 1998 Toyota Tacoma he was driving. The truck left the road and overturned. Alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the crash.
