Wrong-Way Hillsborough Crash Seriously Injures Two

The crash was alcohol related, the Florida Highway Patrol says.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – Both drivers in a wrong-way crash were seriously injured this morning (Dec. 21), the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Colonaii Bell, 33, and Brian James Stanley, 44, both of Tampa, were taken to Tampa General Hospital with serious injuries.

The crash happened about 12:40 a.m.on HIllsborough Avenue west of 56th Street. Troopers said Bell was driving a 2008 Dodge Charger east in the westbound lane on Hillsborough Avenue when she hit a 2013 Dodge Caravan head-on. Troopers said they believe Bell was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
