Woman Dies after Being Hit When Running Across I-275

She had gotten out of a vehicle stopped by the side of the interstate, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

PINELLAS COUNTY – An Orlando woman died of injuries she received Friday (April 28) when hit by two vehicles while running across I-275, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Paige Nicole Murray, 23, of Orlando, died at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where she was taken after the crash. Dolores Ann Ashland, 53, of West Palm Beach, the driver of one of the vehicles, received minor injuries but was not taken to a hospital.

Troopers said the crash happened about 9:22 p.m. at mile marker 23 on northbound I-275 in Pinellas County. Troopers said Ms. Murray had been a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped at the side of the interstate. She was running west across the interstate when she was hit by the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu that Ashland was driving and a 2009 Toyota Highlander that was driven by Tessia Donyale, 45, of Memphis, TN.
