He was thrown from his motorcycle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

PASCO COUNTY – A Wesley Chapel man died Thursday (July 6) when he was thrown from his motorcycle during a traffic collision, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Justin Freijah Lovig, 29, of Wesley Chapel, died at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet, troopers said. Mary Louise Bitting, 51, of Wesley Chapel, the other driver, received minor injuries.

The crash happened about 6:47 p.m. at the intersection of Old Pasco Road and Quail Hollow Boulevard. Bitting was driving a 2002 Lexus RX north on Old Pasco Road. Troopers said she failed to yield when she made a left turn onto Quail Hollow into the path of the 2008 Honda V-Rod that Mr. Lovig was riding.

The Honda hit the passenger side of the Lexus. The impact threw Mr. Lovig off his bike.
