Walsingham Road Crash Kills Largo Motorcyclist

He was thrown from his motorcycle after he lost control, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

PINELLAS COUNTY – A Largo man died of injuries he received in a traffic crash Friday (March 16) when he was thrown from his motorcycle, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Robert Floyd Nagy, 65, of Largo, died at Largo Medical Center of injuries he suffered in the crash. He was not wearing a helmet.

The crash happened about 6:30 p.m. on Walsingham Road east of Sixth Avenue. Troopers said Mr. Nagy was riding a 2001 Honda motorcycle east in the inside lane of Walsingham.

As he approached a curve, he failed to maintain control of his bike, which left his lane and hit a curb. When the motorcycle hit the curb, it overturned and Mr. Nagy was thrown off.
