U.S. 301 Crash Claims Pedestrian
She walked into the path of an oncoming pickup truck, FHP troopers said.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A Connecticut woman died today (Nov. 30) of injuries she received when struck by a pickup truck on U.S. 301, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Nayomi Ramos-Perez, 20, of Waterbury, CT, died at Tampa General Hospital where she was taken after the crash.
The crash happened about 1:20 p.m. on U.S. 301 north of Duncan Road in Hillsborough County.
Troopers said Ms. Ramos-Perez was walking east across U.S. 301 when she stepped into the path of a 2018 GMC pickup driven by a Riverview resident.
