U.S. 19 Crash Kills Port Richey Motorcyclist

The other driver turned in front of the motorcycle, FHP troopers say.

PASCO COUNTY – A Port Richey man died of injuries he suffered when he was thrown from his motorcycle in a crash on U.S.19, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Seth Monroe Majors, 31, of Port Richey, died at the Regional Medical Center at Bayonet Point where he was taken after the crash. He was wearing a helmet.

The other driver, Nicholas Joseph Bonaimo, 83, of Hudson, was not injured.

The crash happened about 10:10 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 22) at the intersection of U.S. 19 and Houston Avenue in Pasco County.

Troopers said Bonaimo was driving a 2015 Buick LaCrosse north in the left turn lane of U.S. 19. He tried to make a U-turn and drove into the path of the 2005 Yamaha motorcycle that Mr. Majors was driving.

Mr. Majors was thrown off his motorcycle when the two vehicles collided.

Charges are pending, troopers said.
