U.S. 19 Crash Kills Palm Harbor Pedestrian

He walked into oncoming traffic, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

PINELLAS COUNTY – A Palm Harbor man died Friday (Nov. 17) of injuries he received when hit while crossing U.S. 19, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Douglas A. Green, 61, of Palm Harbor, died at Mease Countryside Hospital, where he was taken after the crash.

The crash happened about 8:31 p.m. north of Tampa Road. Mr. Green was walking east across U.S. 19 when he wandered into the path of a 2016 Chevrolet pickup truck drive by Adam R. Walton, 38, of Palm Harbor.
