Teen Motorcyclist Dies in State Road 54 Crash

The other vehicle turned into the motorcycle’s path, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

PASCO COUNTY – A teen motorcyclist died Sunday (Sept. 9) in a traffic crash on State Road 54, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Aaron Scott Barnhouse, 19, of New Port Richey, died at the scene. He was wearing a helmet. The other driver, Milagros Beda Coulmas, 74, of New Port Richey, was taken to Morton Plant Hospital North Bay with minor injuries.

The crash happened about noon on SR 54 west of County Road 1 in Pasco County. Troopers said Coulmas was driving a 2003 Toyota Matrix east on SR 54 when he turned left in front of the 2002 KTM motorcycle that Mr. Barnhouse was driving. The motorcycle collided with the right side of the Toyota.
