Teen Killed in Pasco Crash

The pickup truck in which he was riding overturned, the Florida Highway Patrol says.

PASCO COUNTY – A New Port Richey teenager died in a traffic crash late Sunday (Jan. 15) night, the Florida Higway Patrol said.

Cory J. Teabout, 18, of New Port Richey, died at the scene. Robert S. Baldree, 20, the driver of the pickup truck, and Logan M. Tuliano, 18, both of New Port Richey, received minor injuries in the crash. Tuliano was taken to Bayonet Point Hospital, troopers said. Baldree was treated at the scene.

The crash happened about 11:49 p.m.on State Road 54 approaching Thy Road. Troopers said a 2011 Honda Civic driven by Jorge J. Cruz-Blanco, 23, of New Port Richey, was traveling west on SR 54 behind the 1992 Ford F-150 that Baldree was driving.

The Civic overtook the Ford, troopers said, and collided with the right rear of the truck. After the impact, the truck spun and overturned.
