HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A teenager was critically injured Tuesday (Feb. 7) when he was thrown from his motorcycle during a traffic crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Enes Muhammed Bulut, 19, of Valrico, was taken to Tampa General Hospital in critical condition.

Troopers said the crash happened about 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 60 and N St. Cloud Avenue. Bulut was driving a 2015 Honda motorcycle east on SR 60. Troopers said he failed to stop for a red light and collided with a 2013 Jeep Patriot driven by Carlos Manuel Coreas, 29, of Tampa, who was turning left from westbound SR 60 onto N St. Cloud. Troopers said Coreas had a green left turn signal. Bulut was thrown from his motorcycle after the impact. He was wearing a helmet.
