Tampa Woman Seriously Injured in Fiery Crash

PASCO COUNTY – A Tampa man was seriously injured Saturday (Sept. 23) in a fiery single-vehicle crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Kim Dale Jones, 46, of Tampa, a passenger in the pickup truck, was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital with critical injuries. The driver, Emilie Josephine Manser, 24, of Tampa, was taken to St. Joseph’s with minor injuries.

The crash happened about 2:45 p.m. at State Road 54 and Meadowbrook Drive. Troopers said Manser was driving a 2002 Ford F150 west on SR 54 east of Meadowbrook Drive in Pasco County when she lost control of her truck. The truck left the road and collided with a utility pole. The truck overturned and caught fire.

Traffic signals at the intersection were disabled as a result of the collision.
