SUV Hits Golf Cart, Killing Three in Pasco, FHP Says

The driver of the golf cart is in critical condition, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

PASCO COUNTY – Three passengers in a golf cart died this morning when it overturned after being struck by an SUV, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Jennifer Boudreau, 36; and Leah Marie Kurasz, 28; and Robert Frederikson, 48, all of Spring Hill, died at the scene. Scott Blair Wilson, 23, of New Port Richey, the cart’s driver, was taken to Bayonet Point Hospital with critical injuries.The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured.

The crash happened about 2:05 a.m. at Monteverde Drive north of Saguaro Lane. Troopers said both the golf cart and a 1999 Jeep Cherokee driven by Victor Karl Valdez, Jr., 32, of Spring Hill, were traveling south on Monteverde. The Jeep overtook and collided with the rear of the golf cart on what troopers described as a “dark, unmarked roadway.” When the Jeep hit the golf cart, it overturned, ejecting all occupants.
