St. Pete Crash Kills Driver

Her car hit a tree, St. Petersburg police said.

ST. PETERSBURG – A woman died Saturday (April 29) of injuries she received in a single-car crash, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.

Lillie P. Addison, 80, died at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where she was taken after the crash.

Police said Ms. Addison was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier north in the 1700 block of 16th Street S about 8:58 p.m. The Cavalier drifted into the center turn lane and then struck the raised center median of the street. The front of the car then struck a palm tree situated in the median. It is unclear why the car drifted from its travel lane.
