SR 52 Crash Claims Port Richey Man
He was crossing the roadway.
PASCO COUNTY – A Port Richey man died of injuries he received Saturday (Oct. 20) in a traffic crash while crossing State Road 52, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Daniel William Troy, 87, of Port Richey, died at the Regional Medical Center at Bayonet Point where he was taken after the crash.
The crash happened about 5:49 p.m. on SR 52 east of Meadow Drive in Pasco County.
Troopers said Mr. Troy was crossing SR 52 when he walked into the path of a 2015 Ford Escape driven by Christa Nicole Hood, 25, of Hudson.
