Spring Hill Woman Dies in Single-Car Crash
She went off the roadway, FHP troopers said.
HERNANDO COUNTY – Spring Hill woman died this morning (Dec. 31) in a single-car crash on County Line Road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Jessica Noel Bowen, 24, of Spring Hill, died at the scene. Alcohol was not a factor.
The crash happened about 2:17 a.m. on County Line Road approaching the intersection of Oak Lake Drive in Hernando County.
Troopers said Ms. Bowen was driving a 2001 Mercury Sable west on County Line Road when, for unknown reasons, she left the roadway. She hit a utility pole on the north shoulder of the road, then into an embankment on the east of Oak Lake Drive. The Mercury overturned and came to rest in the center of Oak Lake Drive.
