Spring Hill Teen, 14, Dies in Single-Car Crash

He failed to negotiate a curve, FHP troopers said.

HERNANDO COUNTY – A Spring Hill man was killed Tuesday (April 2) when his car went off the road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Christopher Hunter, 14, of Spring Hill, died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to troopers.

The crash happened about 2:36 p.m. on Laredo Avenue north of Danforth Road in Hernando County.

Troopers said he was driving a 2001 Ford Taurus south on Laredo when he failed to negotiate a curve. The Ford left the road and collided with a tree.
