The semi he was driving overturned, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

TAMPA – A truck driver died of injuries he received when his semi tractor-trailer overturned Thursday (April 26), the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Michael Wayne Woods, 60, of Tampa, died at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

The crash happened about 4:32 p.m. on County Line Road north of I-4 in Polk County. Troopers said Mr. Woods was driving a 2018 Volvo semi tractor-trailer south on County Line Road approaching I-4 when it left the road and overturned. It is unclear why the truck overturned.
