Single-Vehicle Crash Kills Motorcycle Driver

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A motorcycle driver died of injuries he received in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday (June 14), according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Travis C. Dalton, 29, of Tampa, died at Tampa General Hospital. He was wearing a helmet.

The crash happened about 2:30 p.m. on the northbound exit ramp from I-75 to Fowler Avenue. Troopers said Mr. Dalton was driving his 1999 Honda in the outside lane of the exit ramp when he lost control of his motorcycle. The bike left the roadway and collided with a guardrail on the eastern shoulder of the ramp. Mr. Dalton was thrown from his bike.
