Traffic along I-275 in Tampa was tied up for more than two hours while the road was cleared.

TAMPA – Two tractor-trailer crashes on I-275 tied up traffic in both directions for more than two hours this morning (July 23), according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Details are limited, but troopers said that, just before 8 a.m., a tractor-trailer jackknifed on I-275 northbound at the 44 milepost marker in Tampa closing all but one lane. About the same time, a second tractor-trailer traveling southbound on I-275 at the 45 milepost struck the inside concrete barrier wall also closing all but one lane.

The southbound flyover reopened about 10:13 a.m. and the northbound lanes reopened about 10:38 a.m.
