Seminole Man Dies in Pinellas Park Crash

His car hit a tree.

PINELLAS PARK – A Seminole man died this morning (Sept. 17) when his car hit a tree, Pinellas Park police said.

Antonio Lucia, 20, of Seminole, died at the scene.

The crash happened about 7:25 a.m. at Belcher Road and 75th Street N. When officers arrived at the scene, they said they found a 2005 BMW 5 with heavy overall damage next to a tree just to the northeast of 75th Street.

Police said an investigation found that the car was headed north on Belcher when it left the road at the intersection with 57th and hit a tree, killing Mr. Lucia.

Police are asking anyone who saw the crash, or saw the car before the crash, to contact investigators at (727) 369-7864. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time, and officers are working with the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine if the driver suffered any type of medical issue or was under the influence of any alcohol or narcotics at the time of the crash.
