Seminole Crash Kills Two Motorcyclists

A car failed to yield to the motorcycle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

SEMINOLE – A man and a woman died Saturday (July 1) of injuries they received in a motorcycle crash on Seminole Boulevard, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification to their next of kin. The two, from Bradenton, died at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg of their injuries. The other driver, Daniel Thomas McLaughlin, 66, of Largo, was taken to Largo Medical Center with minor injuries.

The crash happened about 9:40 p.m. on northbound Seminole Boulevard at 114th Avenue N. Troopers said was driving a 2015 Volkswagen Golf west across Seminole from a stop sign at 114th. The Volkswagen failed to yield to a 1997 Honda motorcycle that the man was driving.

The left front of the car and the motorcycle collided. The vehicles came to rest in the center median break at the intersection.
