Seminole Boulevard to Reopen Today
A portion of the road had been closed for repairs to water pipes.
PINELLAS COUNTY -Seminole Boulevard is scheduled to reopen today (Sept. 10) but a portion of 16th Avenue SE will remain closed, according to Pinellas County officials.
Crews from the utilities department have partially completed construction on a connection between two potable water pipes at the intersection of 16th Avenue SE and Seminole Boulevard in Largo. All lanes will reopen today but a portion of 16th Avenue SE will remain closed as the remainder of the construction project is completed.
Utilities crews will continue work to connect a 20-inch and a 36-inch pipe. This connection will provide the county’s Logan Pump Station with a better water supply to maintain adequate water quality throughout the system. A portion of the 36-inch pipe, which is the primary feeder into the pump station, was damaged during unrelated construction activities.
